ARC Design Gippsland is a regional design practice grounded in place. Established in 2024, we work across civic, infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects throughout Gippsland. Our focus is simple: thoughtful architecture that performs well, is practical to build, and stands up over time.
Led by Rowan Hammond and Sonja Templin, the practice combines deep local knowledge with international project experience. We understand the realities of building in Gippsland — coastal exposure, rural settings, complex sites, planning controls, and regional procurement pathways. For Gippsland business and organisations, this means clear process, strong documentation, risk awareness, and buildings that support operational needs. For private clients, it means careful listening, strong design guidance, and homes that respond to climate, landscape, and daily life.
Our approach is collaborative and grounded in buildability. We test ideas early against budget, structure, servicing, and long-term maintenance. We value clear communication and well-coordinated consultant input. Whether delivering a public project with community value, a workplace, or a sustainable family home, we aim to create architecture that is robust, efficient, and quietly enduring — buildings that work hard, sit comfortably in their setting, and feel considered in every detail.
